Here's yet one more reason to dust off your passport and fly overseas. While
fashion fiends are frivolous over the news that Lanvin for H&M is indeed happening, it's been confirmed that along with clothing and accessories, the collection will include lipstick when it lands in stores on Nov. 23.
This isn't the first time Lanvin has venture into the beauty world; the French
fashion house has just released its newest scent, Marry Me, in the
US and
Europe. But the H&M partnership
is the first time that designer Alber Elbaz will put the Lanvin name on colour cosmetics. He's known for being fussy about his vision — he and makeup artist Pat McGrath have parsed the particulars of red lipstick — and for preferring a woman to look smart over sexy. We're hoping Lanvin's limited-edition lipstick might provide a little bit of both.
